an atlanta-born, brooklyn-based multidisciplinary artist who focuses her efforts as a filmmaker, writer, actor, photographer, and producer on expanding our understanding of the human experience. her feature directorial debut, I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST, premiered at SXSW and will be released theatrically by Lionsgate in 2025. Her recent work as an actor includes her broadway debut in sam gold’s ‘ROMEO + JULIET’ and her starring role in New York Theater Workshop’s award-winning ‘BECOMING EVE.’ she remains widely recognized for her appearances in ‘13 REASONS WHY’ and jeremy o harris’ play ‘DADDY.’ Her first memoir, MAYBE THIS WILL SAVE ME—a national bestseller—was published by harper collins.

before joining Good Girl, Alyssa served as director of development for Joy Gorman’s Joy Coalition and a television studio executive at STX Entertainment working on projects with Netflix, Amazon, HBO, and other networks. Prior to this, she worked on docuseries, such as Paramount Network’s Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story and Hulu’s Fyre Fraud. Alyssa got her start working at the Tribeca Film Festival and ICM. She is a born and raised Jersey girl now based in NYC.

after gaining experience in the literary world, ruhamah worked at Maven Screen Media where she helped develop film and TV focused on increasing representation for women in front of and behind the camera. she was raised in switzerland and is a graduate of middlebury college.
